Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail have an exciting opportunity for two highly committed individuals for the position of Digital Channels Executive, based in Iarnród Éireann HQ Connolly Station, Dublin 1.

Responsibility for digital platforms includes; content, performance, conversion, customer information improvements, user experience, system testing, reporting, digital innovation and developments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic platform development
  • Ancillary revenue opportunities
  • Monitoring, analysing, amending and reporting on various digital platform performances
  • Web and app content improvements
  • User experience (UX) research, innovation and developments
  • System testing
  • Customer and Social Media support

Assistant Engineer

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail (Infrastructure) has a requirement to recruit an experienced Assistant Engineer in the Dublin Divisional offices of the Chief Civil Engineer’s Department.

The role will have responsibility for technical, safety, regulatory and compliance requirements within the area of the Senior Track and Structures Engineer (STSE).

All candidates for the role should:

  • Be fully qualified to degree level
  • Have 2-5 years’ experience working in an engineering role

Additional criteria:

  • High level of IT proficiency
  • Strong technical engineering ability
  • High level planning, scheduling and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated environment
  • Knowledge and experience of Track and Structures would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project Management experience would also be an advantage

The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time contract basis. The hours of work associated with this role are 36 hours a week Monday to Friday. The salary for the role will be that of an Assistant Engineer and will range from €40,142 - €70,022 per annum. The salary that will apply will be commensurate with experience.

IM Operatives

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail is currently recruiting for a number of General Operatives in the Dublin Eastern/West Regions.

These are key safety critical positions within Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail. The successful candidates will be recruited to fill the following positions:

  • Level Crossing Control Operator (Athlone)
  • Mobile Emergency Response Team Operator
  • Level Crossing Gatekeeper

These positions are 40/46/48 hour contract positions on a 5 over 7 day basis. The annual salary for these positions will be in the range of €25,020 - €32,926 per annum. The salary and contract hours will depend on the position offered to successful candidates. 

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience of following sequential safety critical procedures
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including shift, night and weekend work
  • Previous experience of working in a rail environment would be an advantage
