Now four years old, the NYF is Ireland’s biggest ever New Year’s celebration.
Celebrate the coming of 2018 with a host of incredible events from the 31st December 2017 until 1st January 2018 including Live Music from Kodaline, Hudson Taylor and Keywest lights, acrobatics, jugglers, mime artists, stilt walkers, face painting and much much more!
Liffey Lights Midnight Moments Matinee!
For the first time this year an early countdown event will kick of the festivities with a bang, with Heliosphere’s high flying acrobats and Flyboarders pulling off some mind boggling stunts and jaw dropping acrobatics.
This event will be fun for all the family and the perfect way to start the New Year’s celebrations. The excitement begins at 6:30pm – 7:00pm on Custom house Quay and Georges Quay.
You can also view these incredible spectacles at the later version of the show against the backdrop of the New Year’s Night sky which kicks off at 11:30pm at Georges Quay.
Both events are free but tickets will be need to be booked in advance.
3 Countdown concert
One of the highlights of the Festival is always the Countdown concert which has hosted the some of the biggest names in Irish Music in the past and this year's line up is perhaps the best yet!
Fresh from their incredible performance at the world famous Glastonbury, Kodaline will headline what promises to be an unforgettable New Year’s Eve countdown concert live from Custom House Quay bringing to an end what has been an wonderfully successful year for the band moving into what is expected to be an even bigger year next year.
Supported by special guests Irish folk duo Hudson Taylor and 4 piece rock band Keywest. This year’s Countdown Concert promises to be a tribute to the booming Irish Music Industry.

New Year's Day Celebrations
The New Year’s Day Celebration promises to be a spectacular show for all the Family. The years celebrations will include award-winning performers and hugely popular 3 New Year’s Day Concert featuring, The Garda Band, Line Up Choir, Hit machine Drummers and much much more. The fun continues with pop up performers from all over the world including jugglers, mime artists, stilt walkers and face painting. MC Phil Cawley will be directing proceedings so prepare for a fun family day out.

Take the DART!
The easiest way to travel directly to the festivities is to take the DART. The line actually will drop you at Tara station, which is actually directly on the Quays meaning you won't miss a second of the action!

Priority for customers who book online
Customers wishing to travel by rail need to book their tickets online as services will be extremely busy and priority will be given to customers who book their tickets online. There is limited availability on services so don't miss out and buy now.
Students can also avail of our discounted student fares when booking online. Our student return fare to Dublin Heuston from Limerick is €23 and from Cork is €32.50. This also includes free reserved seating where applicable.
