St Patrick's Weekend Rail services, 17th to 19th March

Extra DARTs will operate before and after St Patrick's Day Parade

Iarnród Éireann advises customers of the following service arrangements for the St Patrick's Day Public Holiday and weekend.

Friday 17th March - St Patrick's Day

Intercity services will operate a Friday schedule with alterations.  Full details are available by searching the journey planner above or in our St Patrick's Day timetable.

DART services will operate to a Sunday schedule, but with extra DARTs operating before and after the St Patrick's Day Parade.

Commuter services will operate to a Sunday schedule with minor alterations.  Full details are available by searching the journey planner above.

DART and Commuter customers should note that Tara Street Station is closed until 16.00hrs on St Patrick's Day, to aid in the Garda crowd management plan for the parade.  Customers should use Connolly or Pearse Stations instead for Dublin city centre.

Saturday 18th March

A normal Saturday service will operate across all routes, with the following changes:

Extra DART and Commuter services will operate for the Six Nations Ireland v England match at the Aviva Stadium (17.00hrs).  Trains will not serve Grand Canal Dock between 18.05hrs and 19.35hrs.

The following Intercity alterations are in place for the Six Nations match:

  • 19.05hrs Dublin Connolly to Sligo is deferred to 20.05hrs
  • 19.35hrs Dublin Heuston to Galway is deferred to 20.10hrs, and will call additionally at Oranmore.

Sunday 19th March

A normal Sunday service will operate across all routes, with the following changes:

Extra DART services to and from Howth for the Dublin Bay Prawn Festival.
