- ICR sets currently operate on all InterCity routes from Dublin, including Cork, Limerick, Tralee, Waterford, Galway, Westport, Sligo and Rosslare Europort
- ICR sets also operate Commuter services to Newbridge, Kildare, Portlaoise, Athlone and Carlow
- Formation: 3 car sets can be coupled together to form a maximum 6 piece train. 6 car (1st Class and High Capacity) sets operate on their own

- The MKIV InterCity trains operate exclusively between Dublin Heuston and Cork
- Formation: Typically formed into 8-carriage trains, consisting of 5 standard class vehicles, a buffet carriage, "City Gold" first class carriage and control vehicle; seating 422 passengers

- The De Dietrich trains operate exclusively between Dublin Connolly and Belfast Central as the branded "Enterprise" service. The service is a joint operation between Iarnród Éireann and Northern Ireland Railways
- Formation: Typically formed into 8-carriage trains, consisting of 5 standard class vehicles, a buffet carriage, "First Plus" carriage and control vehicle; seating 449 passengers. When formed into 7-carriage trains, seating capacity is 378
- Maximum Speed: 145 km/h
