Irish language Officer, Iarnród Éireann, Corporate Communications Department, Connolly, Dublin

Iarnród Éireann are delighted to invite applications for the role of Irish Language Officer, Part-Time in our Corporate Communications Department. This is an exciting opportunity for applicants who are interested in working as part of a dynamic team in a fast-moving communications environment.

The main focus of the role will be to promote awareness of and compliance with Official Languages Act within Iarnród Éireann.

The role holder will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure commitments under the Irish Language Scheme for Iarnród Éireann are delivered and will have the opportunity to develop initiatives to encourage greater usage of the Irish language throughout Iarnród Éireann.

It is essential that applicants for this role are fluent in written and spoken Irish with a thorough understanding of the relevant legislation. It is also desirable to have experience of ensuring compliance with Irish language legislation in a large and dispersed organisation.
