Iarnród Éireann Accessibility

Iarnród Éireann endeavours to assist all customers with disabilities to travel on our rail services. The more information we have about the assistance you require, the better we will be able to assist you.

Iarnród Éireann has a new improved zonal accessibility policy to provide a better service and quicker response times for DART, Maynooth, Cork and Northern Commuter accessibility users.

We are developing and testing a Passenger Assistance App prototype that will allow individuals to pre-book assistance and manage their journeys. We are exploring whether an app such as this has the potential to make a significant improvement to the way individuals with mobility and vision impairments access our services.

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail will update Station Information pages weekly with information that may affect a customers journey. This information is highlighted to the customer using a station "Travel Alert".

While we have endeavoured to make this website accessible for all users, there may be some instances where a visually impaired user may find that their experience can be improved by leveraging browser plugins and features. Here you will find guidance on how to configure your browser or operating device for higher contrast viewing.
