Exciting opportunities to join our Chief Civil Engineering (CCE) Department
Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail are recruiting for a wide range of Engineering roles within the Chief Civil Engineering Department to join us for an exciting phase of growth within the railway sector.
With major investment programmes in the maintenance, renewal and upgrading of our infrastructure, this is an exciting opportunity for Civil Engineers looking to progress a career in the railway industry across a number of disciplines and areas and to help in the safe and efficient provision of railway services across the country.
Successful candidates will become part of the CCE team that will help in the delivery of key objectives for the department. The various roles on offer provide an ideal environment to develop organisational skills and broaden technical knowledge in a dynamic working environment. The roles involve technical engineering inspections to determine the condition, safety and reliability of infrastructure assets as well as the planning and delivery of renewals and maintenance programmes.
Requirements
All candidates for the role should:
- Be fully qualified to degree level (Level 8) in Civil Engineering and/or equivalent
- Have 1 – 5 years’ experience working in an engineering role
- Strong technical engineering ability
- High level of IT proficiency
- Ability to produce and maintain reporting documentation to a high standard
- Ability to work in a highly regulated environment
- High level planning, scheduling and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full drivers licence
- Experience working in or knowledge of railway infrastructure would be an advantage
Desirable Requirements:
- Membership of Engineers Ireland or other relevant professional body.
Positions are available in a number of regional offices in Dublin as well as in the West and South of the Country. The salary that will apply will be commensurate with experience.
