Late-night DART & Commuter services, Christmas and New Year

Late-night services aligned with midnight closing of hospitality

Late night DART and Commuter services will operate from Friday 3rd December on the weekends in the run-up to Christmas, and after Dublin’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Additional late-night DART and Commuter services for this year are timed to be aligned with the midnight closure of bars, restaurants and other venues in the hospitality sector, under current COVID-19 measures.

The full schedule of later-night DART and Commuter services is as follows:

Fridays and Saturdays 3rd & 4th, 10th & 11th, 17th & 18th December

(note: on journey planner, as trains depart after midnight, journeys will appear on next day: e.g. search Saturday 4th December for services on Friday night 3rd December)

  • 00:30hrs from Pearse serving all stations to Howth
  • 00:30hrs from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones
  • 00:40hrs from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk
  • 00:20hrs from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth
  • 00:50hrs from Pearse serving all stations to Drumcondra, and all stations from ParkWest to Kildare
Late night Friday 31st December cancelled:  Please note New Year's Eve late-night services are cancelled, due to the cancellation of the Dublin New Year's Festival.

 

Fares will be charged at normal rates, meaning customers can use Leapcard and buy cash fares for the best value Christmas travel option. 

Furthermore, weekly, monthly and annual season tickets are valid on late night services, so season ticket holders will be able to use the services at no extra charge.

Late night services will have security personnel on board to ensure customer safety.

Customers are reminded that face coverings are required on board and in stations at all times, unless exempt.  Please click for full details of current COVID-19 measures in place.
