Head of Asset Management Transformation

Infrastructure Management (IM) Department:

Location: Headquarters in Inchicore, Dublin 08. (Flexible working arrangements apply)

Remote Working: Available as per Remote Working policy.

Salary: €119k-€126K (Dependent on role & commensurate with suitable Qualification and Experience)

Contract Hours: 36-hour per week.

Contract Duration: Fixed Term leading to permanency.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days per annum, rising to 28 based on service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the above position in the IÉIM Asset Management Department. Reporting to the Head of IM Asset Management this role is a key leadership position within the Iarnród Eireann, IM Asset Management Strategy, effectively leading the transformation team in meeting the objectives set out within the Asset Management Strategy for iTRAK and its associated business case.

Increased investment and growth in rail use will place greater demand on existing infrastructure, requiring more maintenance to prevent performance decline. However, operating a rail network that continues to put safety and customer journeys first, will demand world-class asset management systems to effectively manage our Infrastructure assets.

The solution is a fully integrated ecosystem, where people, processes, systems, and asset data are all underpinned by digital ways of working and enable the optimisation of our approach to asset management.

Our Asset Management (AM) Vision to deliver "trusted information at your fingertips" will give us greater Safety and Reliability. The project, called iTRAK, is a long-term commitment and journey with long term impacts in which we are laying down a Legacy for the next 20 years


Essential Requirements


• Degree (Level 8) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience and competence in introducing new innovative business process, standards and technologies across a challenging landscape in large complex organisations
• Proven experience and competence in asset information management and related systems, particularly within the rail industry.
• Significant previous or current Senior Management leadership role.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of technology solutions and current digital trends for organisations operating in the Rail environment
• Expert knowledge and understanding of relevant standards e.g. BIM, ISO19650, ISO 55000 as examples
• Proven experience in managing and implementing BIM and GIS processes and standards.
• Strong knowledge of 3D modelling software (such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Bentley Systems).
• Proven experience with geospatial data management and integration.
• Track record and competency in the field of information and OT cyber security and/or risk management.
• Safety culture aware - to be able to influence and develop an existing safety culture to the latest generation thinking and practice 

Desirable Requirements


• Experience working in organisation(s) where ISO19650 requirements have been successfully implemented.
• Experience working in organisation(s) where ISO55001 requirements have been successfully implemented.
