Technical Support Opportunities in Limerick Junction

- Travel: Requirement to travel around the network. Pool Van available
- Salary: €48k-€69K (Dependent on role & commensurate with suitable Qualification and Experience)
- Contract Hours: 36-hour per week
- Contract Duration: Fixed Term leading to permanency
- Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days per annum, rising to 28 based on service

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail are recruiting for Technical Support roles in Limerick Junction Division (Tipperary) in the Chief Civil Engineers (CCE) Department of the Infrastructure Manager (IM).
Working within a team of Engineers and Technical Staff you will be responsible for the inspection of Track and Structures assets across the rail network in Limerick Junction Division (West Leinster and Munster area). These assets will typically be Bridges, Culverts, Retaining Walls, Cutting & Embankments and other asset types as directed. In addition to carrying out inspections you will be required to manage the provision of technical solutions for the repair, maintenance, upgrade and potential renewal of track and structures assets, ensuring that these works are carried out timely and to a defined specification and standard.
Training will be provided in connection with this role.

Essential:
- Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering (level 6) or relevant Engineering Discipline
- Over 1 years experience working in a relevant engineering/technical role with the above qualification. Recently qualified candidates will be considered
- The candidate should hold a full Category B EU/UK driving licence as there will be a requirement to drive in order to undertake asset inspections.
Desirable:
- Draughting and AutoCAD experience
- Surveying – use of Level/Theodolite/Total Station
- Experience in vertical and horizontal curve design.
