June Bank Holiday 2025
29 May 2025
Rail service arrangements for the June Bank Holiday weekend
Iarnród Éireann reminds customers that a revised timetable will be in place this June Bank Holiday weekend on all routes.
Customers are advised to check times before travel from Saturday 31st May to Bank Holiday Monday 2nd June inclusive for revised schedules, at the journey planner above or at the Iarnród Éireann app. Major works will take place between Connolly and Blackrock from Saturday to Monday inclusive, affecting Southside DART and Rosslare Intercity services.
Intercity: Pre-book for Bloom
In addition, Intercity customers are advised that pre-booking is essential at busiest times across the weekend, including for the duration of Bord Bia Bloom (Thursday 29th May to Monday 2nd June). There is high demand on Heuston Intercity routes in particular, with Bloom offering a free shuttle bus available from Parkgate St (5-minute walk from Heuston) to the Bloom site. A number of trains on Intercity routes are already sold out (including some trains from Galway, Limerick, Cork and Waterford to Dublin) and customers must pre-book at www.irishrail.ie to ensure travel.
Rail service arrangements
Revised train times will be in place on all routes, please check times before travel at www.irishrail.ie or the Iarnród Éireann app. In particular, please note the following major works.
Track renewal, bridge upgrade, level crossing renewal: multiple sites, Connolly to Dun Laoghaire, Sat 31st May to Mon 2nd June
Due to these planned works at multiple sites, scheduled as part of our maintenance programme since the beginning of this year, customers are advised:
- DART: DART services are suspended between Connolly and Dun Laoghaire Stations. Rail tickets are valid on Dublin Bus services to/from areas affected. DART services are operating between Malahide/Howth and Connolly, and between Dun Laoghaire and Bray/Greystones.
- Dublin to Rosslare Europort Intercity: Dublin to Rosslare Europort services will operate with bus transfers between Dublin Connolly and Bray.
Iarnród Éireann apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused by these essential works.
