3D Secure is an added layer of security for online credit and debit card payments. It involves creating a password that must be used when buying online.
It was developed by Visa and named “Verified by Visa”. MasterCard then developed the same service called “MasterCard® SecureCode™”.
The first time you buy online with a 3D Secure enabled card you will be brought to your bank’s secure website. You must verify some personal details, then select a password.
This is integrated into our checkout page. This means that for future use, you will not need to go to your bank's website. You will still need your password.
You should not share this password with anyone. This is how you ensure your card is secure. Do not write your password down.
