Luggage On-Board Trains
General Information for Luggage On-Board Trains
- Luggage must be kept with you at all times
 - We will not be liable for any loss or damage to passengers' personal luggage
 - All InterCity and Commuter trains have adequate luggage facilities, ranging from overhead racks, luggage racks at carriage ends and 'in-between seat' spaces
 - Cabin sized bags should be stored in the overhead racks, while larger bags or cases should be stored in the luggage racks at carriage end
 - Prams and buggies must be folded and stored in the designated luggage spaces provided
 - Luggage and items accompanying passengers must not obstruct platform, passageways, aisles or prohibit entry or exit to / from the train
 - Luggage should not be placed on seats
 - Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail do not provide a luggage handling assistance service
 
Items Not Permitted in Stations or On-board Trains
- Items deemed to be illegal
 - Loaded firearms, explosive or inflammable articles or materials
 - Radioactive or corrosive products, cylinders containing compressed or liquefied gases
 - Motor cycles and motor scooters charged with electricity, gas, oil or other inflammable liquid or vapour
 - Poisonous or infectious materials which may be harmful to health

Lost and Unclaimed Luggage and Property
- Iarnród Éireann will not be responsible for loss or damage to any property left on our trains or in our stations
 - All luggage, articles or property not claimed within 30 days will be deemed to be abandoned
 - Any article discovered to be of a perishable nature will be disposed of earlier and without notice
