Iarnród Éireann Access Officer
Under the Disability Act 2005, all Government Offices are required to appoint one or more Access Officers. At Iarnród Éireann we want to provide a helpful and safe service to all our passengers.
Some of our passengers have a disability and not all disabilities are always visible. All our staff have been trained to aid to the highest standard giving assistance when requested.

The Iarnród Éireann Access officer can be contacted by phone on (01) 7032723 or email at IE.Access@irishrail.ie. The Iarnród Éireann access officer is responsible for arranging and co-ordinating assistance when requested, to persons with disabilities accessing our services.

- Iarnród Éireann will provide ISL interpreters to customers who wish to communicate with us though ISL. Customers must give at least two weeks’ notice to our access officer as there can be difficulties at times obtaining ISL interpreters
Complaints Under Disability Act
A person may make a complaint in writing to the Inquiry Officer of Iarnród Eireann in relation to the failure of Iarnród Eireann to comply with the Disability Act, 2005.

A complaint must be submitted in writing to the above address or by email to access@irishrail.ie and must state which Section of the Act the complaint refers to.
It must clearly outline the reason for the complaint and set out any relevant information to enable the complaint to be investigated.
The complaint must be addressed to the Inquiry Officer.
