Iarnród Éireann & Aircoach to offer integrated ticketing
Iarnród Éireann and Aircoach have joined forces to introduce anintegrated ticketing facility, which gives customers the option of travelling to Dublin Airport using rail and bus services all on one ticket. The recently launched feature will allow customers make bookings on the Iarnród Éireann website, to add a transfer to Dublin Airport and travel with convenience and ease on the 702 from Pearse and 700, 700X from Drumcondra.

The introduction of the partnership with Aircoach means that all Intercity services terminating in Dublin now have a connection to Dublin Airport and All services terminating in Cork have a connection to Cork Airport. It now means that passengers can travel on Intercity services from Sligo and Rosslare Europort, along with Commuter services from Maynooth and DART and transfer to Aircoach right outside Pearse and Drumcondra stations. With support from the National Transport Authority (NTA), the facility was introduced on the Iarnród Éireann website earlier this month.
Speaking at the launch, Iarnród Éireann’s Head of Marketing, Charlotte Tucker said: We are delighted to partner with Aircoach on this great initiative. Providing our customers with this seamless add on, makes travel by public transport even easier than ever and I’m sure that thousands of our Intercity, Commuter & DART customers will avail of this great, sustainable option, particularly as we head into the busy summer holiday period”
Kim Swan Managing Director of Aircoach commented: "We are thrilled to launch Train to Plane today in partnership with Iarnród Éireann. This joint rail and coach initiative opens up greater access to Dublin Airport for communities across Ireland, offering a seamless, convenient, and sustainable travel option. With Aircoach pick-up points located just outside Drumcondra and Pearse stations, and the reliability and frequency of our services, Train to Plane delivers an outstanding and timely travel proposition for our customers ”
Sorcha NicEoin, Head of Commercial B2B, DAA: "This new partnership between Aircoach and Irish Rail is great news for passengers. We want it to be really easy for passengers to get to and from Dublin Airport and the more options that they have, the better. Around 1 in 3 passengers travelling to Dublin Airport now get here via public transport and initiatives like this will only help to improve that ratio even further."
