Iarnród Éireann has partnered with Aircoach, Bus Éireann and Dublin Express, to offer customers a rail to airport connection bookable on irishrail.ie. With coach transfers to Dublin Airport from €6 - €8 and to Cork Airport from €1.55.

Book direct to Dublin Airport
Customers booking on irishrail.ie can now add onward travel to Dublin Airport with Dublin Express or Aircoach. Simply select in Extras when booking your rail ticket. The add on can only be purchased 24 hours or more in advance of your train departure time.
Prices start from just €6, providing a cost-effective and hassle-free connection.
Aircoach Connections
Aircoach offers over 130 daily services providing a direct connection to and from the doors of Dublin Airport’s T1 and T2.
Customers travelling on the Sligo route to Drumcondra or Rosslare route to Pearse Station can purchase a connection with Aircoach for €6 single or €8 return.
Drumcondra Station is served by Aircoach routes 700 and 700X. The stop is located directly outside the train station on Drumcondra Road Lower, providing easy access for passengers arriving on the Sligo and Maynooth line. The journey to Dublin Airport typically takes around 20 minutes.
Pearse DART Station is served 20 times daily by Aircoach route 702. Stop number 495 is located opposite the station entrance. The journey time is typically between 20 and 25 minutes. Customers booking rail travel to Pearse station on the Rosslare line can add this service when booking on irishrail.ie.
If you’ve booked a return ticket, you can use the return portion on any Aircoach service on the same route within one month of your outward journey date, subject to availability.

Dublin Express Connections
Customers travelling on Intercity services to Heuston Station have the option to Add On a coach connection with Dublin Express from €8.
Dublin Express operates 50 services daily, with a frequency of every 15 minutes at peak times. Customers can be picked up from Heuston Station and can be dropped off at Terminal 1: Outside Terminal 1 Arrivals (turn left upon exit), and Terminal 2: Pickup from Zone 21 (cross the glass walkway, turn left, and go down the escalator).
This integrated travel option makes planning your journey to the airport even simpler.
Just present your booking confirmation and ticket to the driver when boarding. Amendments to bookings are permitted within 48 hours of purchase, giving you added flexibility if your plans change.

Affordable and Reliable
Customers booking online travelling to Kent Station can add a Bus Éireann transfer to your booking for just €1.55, ensuring a smooth journey to Cork Airport.
Frequent Services
Bus Éireann operates Routes 225 and 226, providing a reliable connection between Cork’s Kent Station - Cork City Centre - Cork Airport with the following schedules:
- Weekdays: Every 30 minutes
- Sundays and Public Holidays: Every 60 minutes
How to Book
When booking your rail ticket on irishrail.ie, navigate to the ‘Extras Page’ and select the appropriate add-on:
- Dublin Express Add-on (Single/Return) for Dublin Airport transfers.
- Bus Éireann Coach Transfer (for Cork Kent Station to Cork Airport) when traveling from eligible stations.
Terms and Conditions
- Present a printed Iarnród Éireann booking confirmation (including the add-on) to the coach driver upon boarding.
- Your Aircoach and Dublin Express ticket is valid for 24 hours on the selected date.
- Your Bus Éireann ticket is valid on the next available service for the selected date.
- Arrive 10 minutes early at your departure point.
- Allow at least 180 minutes between your coach’s arrival and flight departure.
- Luggage Allowance: 1 soft hand luggage + either 2 medium cases (70cm x 30cm x 45cm, max 20kg each) or 1 large case (75cm x 50cm x 32cm, max 20kg). Excess luggage fees may apply.
