Rail Ticket Collection Information

When buying tickets with Iarnród Éireann by phone or on our website you have two options:

Collect at Ticket Machine – collect them from a Ticket Machine at any Iarnród Éireann station in the Republic of Ireland. You must do this before you board the train. See our guide on how to collect tickets from a ticket machine here.

QR Ticket(s) - QR Tickets are in PDF format. You can download them from the confirmation page when you book with us. You will also get a confirmation email with your QR tickets.
You can add them to the wallet app on your Apple device. See more on saving QR Tickets to your Apple wallet here.

How to collect your Ticket from a Ticket Vending Machine:

On the ticket machine screen select ‘Collect Pre-booked tickets’

Enter the 'Ticket Collection Number' and press 'Enter'. Please be sure that you enter the 'Ticket Collection Number' (11 digits) and not the 'Booking Number' (8 digits).

Wait for the machine to print your ticket(s). Collect your tickets from the ticket machine. Tickets can only be printed once.
