Administration Officer (Navan Line) Capital Investment Division – Iarnród Éireann

Iarnród Éireann is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to support the delivery of the Navan Line Programme. Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Administration Officer will provide high-quality administrative, organisational and coordination support across the programme team. This includes managing documentation, coordinating meetings, maintaining systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support across the programme office
- Manage document control, filing, correspondence and record keeping
- Coordinate diaries, meetings, travel, workshops and events
- Track actions, update registers and support reporting requirements
- Maintain programme systems, logs and SharePoint sites to a high standard
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders in a professional, efficient manner
- Support procurement, invoicing, onboarding and other project processes as required
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Proficient in the use of MS Office skills to include word, excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
- Knowledge and proven ability in planning, organising and implementing work priorities to ensure the orderly flow of project documentation throughout the process
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Systematic and able to work under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- A business or Project Management qualification
- A knowledge of the SAP financial and controlling modules
