Hours: Full time (FTC)
Location: Information Systems Department, Connolly Station
Salary: 4B / 4A DPE
Applications are being invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Project Manager in our Information Systems Department. The ICT Project Manager works closely with colleagues across the ICT PMO, Cyber Security, the Office of the CTO (including Architecture), and Service Delivery. The role also requires strong collaboration with Business Relationship Managers and Project Sponsors to ensure projects deliver on business priorities. Externally, the ICT Project Manager coordinates with group-level functions, manages third-party suppliers, and supports engagement with the National Transport Authority (NTA) as required.
Responsibilities include:
- You will ensure that the projects are delivered on-time, to budget and to agreed quality standards
- Responsible for project tracking, monitoring, control, and success from concept to delivery into the production environment
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop / Manage a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Track and report on project performance including scope, budget, and schedule
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Manage the project budget reporting actuals vs forecasts monthly
- Highlight budget performance plus variances at weekly status updates and to project sponsors
- Establish project governance setup at project initiation
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation per the ICT PMO standardized process
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Perform risk management to ensure risks are documented and stakeholders are informed
- Strong ability to work at a detailed level whilst being able to extract the appropriate level of information for senior management consumption

Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience
- Project Management Certification (Prince2 Certified or related Project Management Methodology)
- A track record in delivering IT Projects
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience delivering projects appropriate to the role and purpose of the position
- Demonstrated Project Management capability appropriate to the role and purpose of the position
- Experience in presenting to Executive steering groups
- Strong leadership, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong commercial acumen, ability to manage project budgets more than €5m
- Good experience of waterfall methodologies
- Experience working with and managing 3rd party vendors
- Ability to perform well under pressure
Desirable criteria:
- Experience delivering ICT projects in large, complex organisations or regulated industries
- Exposure to transport, infrastructure, or public sector environments
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery approaches in a large-scale context
- Experience contributing to or preparing external funding submissions (e.g. NTA)
- Strong facilitation skills for planning, design, or strategy workshops with senior stakeholders
- Knowledge of ICT governance frameworks and PMO best practices.
