DART+ Assistant Project Manager
Division - Capital Investments
Location - Inchicore
Salary - 4C or J37 (DOE)
Responsibilities
- To assist the project manager, Capital Investments in the delivery of capital projects.
- To ensure that projects are managed in accordance with project management and control procedures.
- To implement of appropriate project and contract control mechanisms for their monitoring and reporting.
- To deliver responsibilities specified in the safety responsibility statement which accompanies this role.
- Observe and comply with all IE, IM and Capital Investments division policies, standards, and procedures.
- To facilitate compliance with the company’s safety management system.
- To regularly review risks relevant to this role both occupational and assets related.
- To ensure that all projects are properly authorized and progressed in accordance with building regulations, IE, IM and Capital Investments policy, standards, and procedures.
- To act as s focus of safety in line with new works safety management system.
- To manage, coordinate and control all projects and related activities.
- To ensure consistent and constant communication with colleagues within your area.
- To support and comply with the people management policy within the team.
- To comply with corporate HR policies & procedures.
- To lead and provide necessary support to staff to enable the execution of their role.
- To manage internal and external project resources.
- To deliver the DART+ programme to the agreed scope, programme, and budget.
- To plan, monitor and report all financial aspects of the works of which this role is responsible for.
- To assist the Project Manager in the preparation and management of budgets, while accurately capturing all chargeable and non-chargeable items.
- To support the DART+ Programme Director in the preparation of quarterly interim and annual stewardship reports.
- To undertake all activities in line with Iarnród Eireann governing procurement policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements
- An Engineering or project Management degree
- Member of Engineers of Ireland or other relevant professional body.
- Minimum 5 Years project engineering experience in a relevant engineering environment.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant general management and project management experience.
- Demonstratable ability to produce and manage design teams and on-site works.
Desirable
- Knowledge of contract management
- Knowledge of railway infrastructure
- Knowledge of construction regulations
- Experience and understanding of safety assurance processes
