Book online in advance to avail of our lowest web fares. The easiest way to find our best value fares is to use the Journey Planner to plan your trip step by step. Children under 5 do not need a ticket in order to travel, however in order to guarantee a seat it is recommended that a seat only reservation is purchased. • Note the letter where your origin and destination stations intersect on the grid eg fare letter Cork to/from Portlaoise = N

Child Fares - Fares for children of 5 to 18 years of age are charged half of the adult fare up to a maximum of €31 (excluding weekly and monthly season tickets). 

Note 1: Off-Peak Promotion - Available after 09:30hrs Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday. Valid between Portlaoise to/from Dublin Heuston including all intermediate stations in between where Dublin Heuston is either the origin or destination including all intermediate stations in between.

Note 2: Day Saver - This is for a Day Return journey and is available to Dublin only. It is available as follows; Tuesday - Thursday on the 09:25hrs, 10:25hrs and 11:25hrs services, Saturdays on trains between 06:00hrs - 11:20hrs. Not available on Mondays, Fridays or Sundays.

Note 3: ID Requirements - Valid ID is required for Student Weekly and Monthly tickets and a physical version of the ID must be presented as proof, for more information go to our student section.

Bus, Luas, Phoenix Park Add-on to and from Dublin City Centre - Single €1.40 or Return €2.70. This can be booked online by selecting 'Dublin' or from the Station when purchasing your ticket. The Luas add-on allows customers to travel on the Luas Red Line between Dublin Heuston and Dublin Connolly/George's Dock or Dublin Bus Route 4 to Mount Street for the date or dates on the ticket only.
