Engineering Opportunities Project Management Office (PMO) Signalling, Electrification & Telecoms (SET) Department:
Location: Inchicore, Dublin 8.
Remote Working: Available as per Remote Working policy.
Salary: €47k-€82K (Dependent on role & commensurate with suitable Qualification and Experience)
Contract Hours: 36-hour per week.
Contract Duration: Fixed Purpose & Fixed Term leading to permanency.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days per annum, rising to 28 based on service.

Iarnród Eireann, Irish Rail’s Signal Electrification and Telecoms (SET) Department are looking for skilled professionals to join their Project Management Office (PMO). SET PMO manage and deliver projects as part of their asset renewal program and also as part of the major Capital Investment Suite of Projects. We are looking for Engineers to help in the delivery of new technologies and new infrastructure on these projects across the Iarnród Eireann Rail network.
With major investment programmes in the maintenance, renewal and upgrading of our infrastructure, you will be supporting major Projects such as:
- DART+ Expansion
- ETCS (Electronic Train Control System)
- CACR (Cork Area Commuter Rail)
- Computer Based Interlocking (CBI)
Along with several other projects, this is an exciting opportunity to progress a career in the railway industry across a number of disciplines and departments, to help ensure the safe and efficient provision of railway services across the country.
Essential Requirements
- Professional Engineering or relevant Degree
- Experienced in technical projects.
Desirable:
- Membership of Professional body
- Management of project in a railway environment.
- Experience and understanding of the Commission for Rail Regulation Authorisation for Placing in Service (APIS) process.
- Knowledge and understanding of Signalling Electrification or Telecoms systems and principles.
- Experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team including signalling, electrical, telecoms, civils, structures, track, environmental and construction elements.
