Junior Power Platform Developer
Location – Connolly Station
Salary – Exec B €59,127 - €71,181 (3 year scale)
As a Junior Power Platform Developer, you will support the delivery of Iarnród Éireann’s digital transformation initiatives by developing and maintaining Power Platform solutions that improve business processes, enhance productivity, and ensure data security and compliance. Working closely with the other members of the IÉ Data Analytics and Intelligence Team; the IÉ Cyber Security Team; the IÉ Enterprise Architecture Team; the IÉ Service Delivery Team; business stakeholders, and CIÉ Group IT&T, you will build, document, test, and deploy solutions that set and meet high standards of quality, security, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, document, and maintain Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to automate processes and enhance efficiency across Iarnród Éireann
- Ensure all solutions comply with established security and privacy standards, contributing to the ongoing improvement of these standards
- Work closely with Head of DAI, other members of IÉ DAI Team, IÉ Cyber Security, Enterprise Architects and CIÉ Group IT&T to establish and adhere to best practice standards for development, testing, and documentation
- Provide support and guidance to users, ensuring effective adoption and usage of developed solutions
- Contribute to ongoing innovation and improvement efforts, staying abreast of new technologies and methodologies relevant to the Power Platform and digital transformation initiatives

Essential Qualifications
- Level 7 qualification or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline
- Power Platform Certification such as PL-900 and / or PL-400
- Demonstrated experience delivering high quality products with Microsoft Power Platform services including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI (12 months Minimum).
- Understanding of data security, privacy standards, and compliance requirements
- Strong written communication skills, including in particular demonstrated experience of documenting power platform solutions to a very high standard.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in agile project environments, including familiarity with testing and documentation practices.
- Understanding of user experience best practices.
- Experience ensuring and demonstrating compliance to the satisfaction of governance bodies.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies used by IÉ ICT Department including Azure DevOps, Confluence, Lucid App and Microsoft Fabric.
