ICT Business Relationship Manager
Role -ICT Business Relationship Manager (Maternity Cover 12 Month FTC)
Location - Information Systems Department, Connolly station
Salary - 4A (3 year scale)
Applications are being invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Business Relationship Manager in our Information Systems Department. The primary role of the ICT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) role is to represent the ICT function as the lead interface for IT into Shared Services (Finance, HR and Procurement). The BRM role also represents Shared Services within ICT, acting as a trusted advisor and proactively representing shared services views, priorities, demand, and project requirements. The BRM will possess a solid understanding of business specific processes and collaborate with the Enterprise Architects, Head of DAI, PMO, ICT Service Delivery, Cyber & Business Continuity teams.
Responsibilities include
Customer
- Engage senior stakeholders within Finance/HR/Procurement/Cyber, acting as a trusted advisor with the ability to understand and influence the business strategy and objectives and translate them into actionable projects
- Work with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new technology implementations whilst working collaboratively with the project team
Change Management/Shaping Demand
- Work collaboratively with the relevant teams across ICT and Finance, HR, Procurement and Cyber to align and prioritise initiatives according to business needs and in line with group priorities and strategy
- Work with the business owners to assist with the development and submission of demand request artefacts for approved prioritized opportunities (e.g. PIDs, initial business case, support the procurement process)
- Shape and manage new initiatives by supporting the change management process from identification, definition, challenge and assessment to prioritization and approval of business cases
Service and Risk
- Ensure an acceptable level of IT Service for customers, working with Service Delivery within ICT to intervene and act when service levels are not being met and sponsoring proactive initiatives to improve service
- Inform ICT Service Delivery and Engagement Managers of potential continuous improvement opportunities
Special Assignments
- Fulfil special assignments on behalf of the group
- Participate in strategic studies supporting key group initiatives
Leadership
- Guide and direct resources to assist in delivery of work as appropriate
- Act as liaison between Finance, HR, Procurement and Cyber and the wider ICT functions
- Horizon scanning, trend review in emerging technology

Essential criteria
- Qualification with recognised professional accountancy body
- Good experience of change delivery and project management
- Understanding and awareness of the technology landscape that supports the Shared Services function
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Excellent knowledge of Iarnrod Eireann’s financial processes or equivalent
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Knowledge of ERP tools including SAP FI/CO and SAP BI
Desirable criteria
- Qualification in project management or equivalent
- Level 8 qualification or higher in Computer Science or Equivalent and/or Business
- Qualifications in HR
- Qualifications in Cyber
- Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA
