Portfolio Commercial Roles
Shape the Future of Irish Rail
Portfolio Commercial Roles
The biggest rail investment in a generation needs you
Ireland's railway is changing faster than at any point in its history. Driven by the All-Island Strategic Rail Review and funded under Project Ireland 2040 and the National Development Plan, Iarnród Éireann is investing in new train carriages, track, signalling and electrification and new and upgraded stations. This is work that will decarbonise how the country travels and connect communities from Dublin and Belfast to Cork, Galway, Sligo, Tralee and Rosslare for decades to come.
Where commercial excellence meets national ambition
Behind every new line, station and fleet is a team making sure public money delivers maximum value. The Commercial Function within our Capital Investments team is that team. We bring insight, rigour and challenge to a portfolio of projects that will shape Irish life and we are growing to match the scale of what lies ahead.
Five roles. One portfolio. Real influence.
- Portfolio Risk and Value Manager: see around corners. Identify, quantify and manage risk across the portfolio, and make sure every investment decision delivers real value.
- Portfolio Contract and Claims Manager: protect the public purse. Shape contract strategy, steer complex commercial positions and resolve claims fairly and robustly.
- Portfolio Cost Intelligence Manager: turn data into foresight. Build the benchmarks, cost models and insight that make our estimates sharper with every project.
- Portfolio Construction Cost Manager: own the numbers that matter. Lead cost planning and control from early estimate to final account on major rail infrastructure.
- Portfolio Planning and Scheduling Manager: keep a nation's programme on track. Integrate schedules across the portfolio and give leaders a clear, honest view of delivery.
