Fleet Integration Lead

The Fleet Integration Lead will be assigned to deliver programmes of work within Capital Investments in relation to new fleet projects, associated with the implementation of the IÉ Rail 2050 strategy and with the recently published All-Island Strategic Rail Review.  They will work very closely with the Chief Mechanical Engineer division to deliver these programmes to authorised budget, time and scope by:

  • Establishing and managing teams, including delivery partners, for the assigned fleet projects and programmes.
  • Developing and delivering the strategy for programme delivery.
  • Managing the safety, financial and professional performance of the assigned programme and project teams and partners. This will include the production of performance reports.
  • Managing stakeholders to ensure that the assigned projects and programmes deliver in accordance with their needs.

Head of Test Commissioning

The Head of Test & Commissioning will be responsible in relation to Capital Investments programs and projects for ensuring that that the fully integrated railway functions safely and correctly in the real world, prior to and including transition to operations.  They will also ensure strict adherence to performance, cost, programme and maintainability associated with the implementation of the IÉ Rail 2050 strategy and with the recently published All-Island Strategic Rail Review

The Role will include Establishing and managing teams, across the whole of the Capital Investments portfolio:

  • Development and implementation of portfolio wide Test strategy.
  • Develop process and lead on Integration testing.
  • Ensure effective and co-ordinated Trial running.
  • Be responsible for the completion of all Commissioning activities.
  • Feed into Operational readiness.
  • Prepare and lead on completion of test information for Entry into service.

Head of System Engineering

The Head of Systems Engineering will be responsible for ensuring the railway is engineered correctly and that technical decisions are optimised across safety, performance, cost, programme and maintainability associated with the implementation of the IÉ Rail 2050 strategy and with the recently published All-Island Strategic Rail Review

The Role will include Establishing and managing teams, across the whole of the Capital Investments portfolio:

  • Technical authority for railway engineering decisions.
  • Engineering governance and design assurance.
  • Discipline engineering leadership.
  • Engineering standards and specifications.
  • Technical approvals and derogations.

Head of System Safety

The Head of Systems Safety will be responsible in relation to new projects and programmes of work undertaken by Capital Investments for ensuring that that the railway is acceptably safe and compliant, prior to authorisation and leading the process for industry acceptance.  They will also be responsible for strict adherence to performance, cost, programme and maintainability associated with the implementation of the IÉ Rail 2050 strategy and with the recently published All-Island Strategic Rail Review

The Role will include Establishing and managing teams, across the whole of Capital Investments portfolio:

  • Hazard management.
  • Safety assurance.
  • CSM-RA.
  • Safety case production.
  • Regulatory engagement.
  • Safety acceptance.

Assistant Director Network Enhancements

The Assistant Director (AD) is responsible for delivering a set of projects on behalf of Iarnród Éireann which, collectively, represent the Network Enhancements (NE) Programme of Works, within the wider Capital Investments (CI) Portfolio of projects. Key focus areas for the NE programme include projects in the areas of Buildings and Civils, Railway Systems and Multi-annual programmes, including projects delivered on behalf of third parties.
