Clerical Officer (CO2) – Accounts Payable

Role Purpose:

The Clerical Officer Accounts Payable is tasked with: Assisting Accounts Payable Manager/Assistant Accounts Payable Manager in maintaining accurate and complete financial, employee, and client records. Compiling, analyzing, and reporting select financial information to the Accounts Payable Manager. Ensure and assist in compilation of all type payments made to Irish Rail vendors are in accordance with policy and procedure in an accurate and timely manner. Implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies, to ensure adherence to company policy and guidelines. Implementing, improving, and enforcing budgets, policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency. Build and maintain relationships with employees, clients and vendors. Assist with planning and organizing of office staff. Assist with structural / project/ software changes with AP as required Provide cover for all other critical Accounts Payable processes.

  • Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies and current financial legislation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Team player.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of accounting and Accounts Payable procedures.
